These are the originals of the painting showing the panoramic view of the city of Osaka that were projected in the planetarium attached to the Osaka Electric Science Museum.
In the mid 1970s, the planetarium began using a projector to show the surrounding scenery from the Yotsubashi district, where it was located. At the time, this was the latest such system. These pictures were drawn in the mid 1980s for use in such projection, and present a view of Osaka as it was then. Hotel Nikko Osaka and Sogo Department Store can be seen in the direction of the Shinsaibashi district, and the Twin 21 Building, to the east.
