中国宋代に点茶の流行に伴いつくられた喫茶用の高級茶碗です。茶碗の内外にきらめく無数の星のような斑文や虹色の光彩が水面に広がる油の滴に似ることから日本で「油滴」と名づけられました。油滴天目茶碗は室町将軍家で高く評価され、本作はかつて関白・豊臣秀次が所持していたと伝わります。西本願寺、京都三井家、若狭酒井家などを経て、現在は大阪の誇る国宝です。宇宙の銀河のような輝きは今も多くの人々を魅了しています。ARで目の前に油滴天目茶碗を置いて、360°好きな角度から見てみましょう。

This exquisite tea bowl was made for drinking tea during the Song dynasty (960–1279) in China, when tea culture became popular. In Japan, it was named ”Yuteki" (oil-drop) because the numerous starlike spots and rainbow-colored luster that sparkle in the interior and exterior of the bowl resemble drops of oil spreading on the surface of water. Yuteki or oil-drop tenmoku tea bowls were highly valued by the Muromachi shogunate (1336-1573), this one said to have once belonged to Regent Hidetsugu Toyotomi (1568-1595). After passing down through Nishi Honganji Temple, the Mitsui family of Kyoto, and the Sakai family of Wakasa, it is now a national treasure that Osaka is proud of.
