Yanobe Kenji, an artist with deep ties to Osaka, built a robot 7.2 meters tall as a guardian for children. The robot can sing, dance, spit fire, and do other things, and has appeared at Aqua Metropolis Osaka 2009 and other events and exhibitions in various parts of the world. Giant Torayan is another enormous robot modeled on Torayan, one of Yanobe’s original characters. If you look in the cockpit on its chest, you can see the figure of Torayan wearing a yellow suit for sensing radiation.
